Wind Power Generation For Your Home

HB Energy is a SkyStream 3.7 and Windspire Dealer. With these 2 products we can offer electrial generation using the wind that blows by your home daily.

The Skystream 3.7: Your Everyday Wind Appliance

Think of a Skystream 3.7 as any other household appliance. After your dealer installs it and connects it to your electric meter, you’re done. Nothing changes inside your house.
Your Skystream works in tandem with your electric utility to power your house. When the wind isn’t blowing, the utility supplies your electricity. But when it’s windy out, your Skystream pivots to catch the best wind and provides clean, quiet electricity. When it generates more electricity than you need, your meter can actually spin backwards—which means you’re essentially selling electricity back to the utility.

Affordable, attractive, and ultra quiet, Windspire® wind turbines give you the power to create clean energy from the natural wind just outside your door. At only 30 feet tall and four feet wide Windspire wind turbines are appropriate for urban, suburban and rural environments. Elegantly engineered, scalable and made in America, Windspires come as a complete system.

Designed for use where you live and work, Windspires are currently powering homes, small businesses, schools, museums, parks, vineyards, and commercial buildings.

Harnessing the Wind
Windspire® wind turbines generate power when wind blows against the vertical airfoils causing them to spin. This power is then converted to AC electricity and is immediately available to provide energy to your building. While the technology behind the Windspire is complex, the basic premise is simple: the stronger the wind the more power they will generate. In 11 mph annual average winds, each Windspire will generate approximately 2,000 kWhs a year.

Extension poles are available in 5, 10, 15 and 20 foot monopoles.

Affordable
Windspires are eligible for a 30% federal tax credit (available in the USA) off the total cost of the installation including the cost of the turbines. Local rebates up to $4,800 are also available in some areas.

Wind and Site Requirements

The Windspire® wind turbine was designed to operate in areas with average wind speeds of at least 10 mph (4.5 m/s), although they work best where average winds exceed 11 mph (5.4 m/s). Winds vary by location, even within a property, and generally preferred sites have access to clear wind. HB Energy is your Windspire dealer and we can discuss siting guidelines with you in more detail.

Windspire wind turbines are designed and manufactured in the United States.
Windspire Energy Corporate headquarters are located in Reno, Nevada where a team of engineers are hard at work bringing innovation to the small-wind market. The Windspire is manufactured in Michigan through a supply agreement with MasTech Wind. Ninety-eight percent of the materials used to build the Windspire are sourced from US companies.
