A Short Cycling Heater Is Not “Good Enough”

Even in those areas with consistently cool weather in the winter season, the heater is not always a top priority. It can be easy to overlook issues with one’s heater as attention is diverted to more pressing matters. Here in Vermont and throughout the northeast, of course, few matters are more pressing than heating issues during a frigid winter cold snap.

Even so, some people do seem to take a “good enough” attitude when it comes to their home heating systems. Don’t fall into this trap! If your heater in Southern Vermont is not functioning properly in any way, you may be on the precipice of a slippery slope. When Do I Schedule Heating Repairs?

You’ve already been running your heater, we’re sure, but its days of work are in their infancy for this heating season. There is a whole lot more, a whole lot colder, weather coming our way, and you need to know that your heater is going to be there for you throughout the worst of it. Routine maintenance is the best insurance in this regard.

Even when you have your heater in great working condition, though, there is a chance that it is going to run into operational problems of some kind. There is simply no such thing as a 100% reliable heater, and anyone claiming that they have one to sell you can probably find you a really good deal on a bridge, too.  (more…)
